Rockford, Illinois, December 4, 2013 - In late October, Enviro-Care sponsored a demonstration of its innovative septage receiving system installed at the Richmond Illinois WWTP. The “Beast” is the screening component of the Enviro-Care Liquid Waste Hauler System which is designed to pre-treat septage by removing the solids from this highly concentrated flow. In addition to the Beast, the full system includes a hauler station with knife valve and flow meter, hauler access panel and Flo-Logic billing, data logging and security software. This is identical to the system that was on display in the Enviro-Care booth at WEFTEC 2013 in Chicago.
Municipalities, engineers and haulers from Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin attended the event. The Beast processed 16,000 gallons of septage during the demonstration meeting or exceeding its design capacity of 650 gpm. Two of the haulers brought in loads from septic tanks that had not been pumped in years. This type of septage is particularly challenging because of the very high solids content that includes grit and rocks. The Beast processed it all including the rocks without the need of a rock trap.
